HISTORY

 

The Chinese Crested breed has a history that traces back to the Han Dynasty in China. Initially larger, they were used for hunting before undergoing miniaturization into a toy breed. The breed's name reflects the coat pattern of the hairless variety, marked by a distinctive crest of hair on the head and tail. The Powder Puff variety, in contrast, has a full coat of fine hair.
