HISTORY
Canaan Dogs originated in the Middle East as herding and guarding dogs. Known for their survival skills in harsh desert environments, they have a rich history intertwined with the Bedouin tribes. They were later trained for military work, including mine detection and sentry duties. They are now the national breed of Israel.
